Wide Beam Craft
Many areas in the UK have rivers and broad canals which provide greater freedom in layout design  from the 7ft narrowboats.. Unlike most of the European networks, some low bridges still exist, so we are able to offer wide beam craft based upon the style of narrowboats to accommodate this restriction.

These craft are also suitable for cruising the rivers & canals in Ireland where similar bridge restrictions apply.

The craft lend themselves for residential use where the additional internal space provides for greater freedom of layout design and incorporation of additional domestic equipment.

Generally craft of 50ft tend to have a beam of 10ft 6in and larger craft up to 12ft 6in.

 Main bedrooms with en-suite shower, comfortable saloons and well equipped galleys are complemented either with additional guest/ family bedrooms or office accommodation.

‘Self sufficient’ energy can be provided with onboard generators in sound enclosures and 240v inverters sufficient for most requirements when not coupled to a shore or marina supply.

Boats can be prepared ready for you to select your interior furnishings as you would in a house or apartment or as a complete home ready to live in with full inventory of galley equipment, built in audio visual systems, furniture and soft furnishings.

The extensive network of canals are close to most major cities , convenient to moor and commute to the workplace. For those more fortunate, where work is of secondary importance, what better way to spend ones life than by choosing the moment when a change of scenery simply means untying and moving on.

Prices are obviously dependent on equipment levels and layout design. Prices usually start for a 50ft x 10ft 6in craft with a good level of onboard equipment between £90,000 inclusive of VAT.
