First boat built at Stenson was a 60ft traditional narrowboat called SUNRISE. Since that time a reputation has been built on the expertise of design, steelwork fabrication and the hand crafted fitting out.
The business was involved with the implementation of the Canal Boat Builders Association and affliliation with the British Marine Industry Federation. Eddie Baldwin was proud to represent the Inland Industry on the Management Board of the Federation increasing the professionalism and profile of the industry for a period of 12 years.
The family business have been involved with some interesting projects including the boats produced for the Ideal Home Exhibition showing furturistic and traditional narrowboats and the 12 seater glass canopied furturistic passenger boat used in Docklands with an air draft of 1 metre.
We have built 600 boats in our first 25 years and hope our owners obtain as much enjoyment using their boats we did building them
